Dan and Laish

This is the headwaters of the Jordan River (Jordan mean down from Dan) as well as the remains of the cities of Dan and Laish. The clay brick gate is old enough to be the original gate of Laish and it is more than likely that Abraham walked up these steps and through this gate .
